Samsung VP Visits Talmud Students at Shaalvim

The Vice President of the Samsung company, Charlie Park, visited the Shaalvim Yeshiva last week, accompanied by a South Korean television crew, to meet Talmud students who are studying at the yeshiva as part of a program for residents of foreign countries.

South Korea has invested extensive resources to teach Talmud in the country and has even opened a Talmud Studies faculty at the local university. The decision was made in the wake of research that found that successful Jewish minds are a direct result of Talmud study.
