Ahead of Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon's first meeting with Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel of the United States, many Israelis asked Ya'alon, via his Facebook page, to put the release of Jonathan Pollard at the center of the agenda. Pollard has been behind bars since 1985 on a life sentence for passing classified information from the U.S. to Israel.
