IDF Honors Dr. Yehuda David for Pillar of Defense Work

Doctor Yehuda David was presented a certificate of merit by the Israel Defense Forces, Thursday evening, for his efforts to organize medical personnel during the opening days of last fall's Pillar of Defense operation against Gaza terrorists despite undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. The reserves major is famous for fighting the father of Muhammad Al-Dura in a libel case relating to wounds suffered by the Al-Duras in a gunfight between terrorists and the IDF at the Netzarim Junction in Gaza.

Dr. David's cancer forced him to drop out of the Habayit Hayehudi (Jewish Home, New National Religious Party) Knesset primaries last year. The surgical specialist recently appeared on television to defend Israeli doctors against slander growing out of the cancer death of an aging Palestinian Authority terrorist.
