The appropriations committee at the Jerusalem municipality has apportioned approximately 1.5 million shekels in allowance for the activities of the youth movements Bnei Akiva, Ezra and Ariel for the fiscal year of 2013.
Deputy mayor and chairman of the city's Finance Committee David Hadari pushed for the move. He stated, "only a few years ago allocations to youth movements were almost nothing. In recent years we've managed the task of increasing it significantly." The move indicated the value city hall sees in organized youth groups.
