Member of Knesset Eli Yishai (Shas) criticized Finance Minister Yair Lapid, Tuesday, for Lapid's Facebook focus on the middle class on Monday.
Referring to Lapid's profile of a mythical Cohen family which earns 20,000 shekels ($5,482) a month, the former interior minister said, "The finance minister needs to recognize the country's borders which are not only in the line between Hadera and Gedera, and [the fact that] 20 thousand shekels per month is the wildest dream of a million poor people. Mr. Lapid must care for the welfare of all the citizens of Israel, not just his voters. A million poor people, as well as other groups in the population, cannot be boycotted. To cast them down and ignore them, and turning a blind eye will not solve the problem - it will only deepen it."
