Comptroller Apologizes to Predecessor

State Comptroller Yoseph Shapiro sent a letter of apology to former comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss, Thursday, following an interview, published in Yediot Acharonot, in which Shapiro claimed that Lindenstrauss left "scorched earth" in the Comptroller's Office when he left and dealt with things that did not concern him, according to Channel 10 Television. The station quoted from the letter, "My remarks in the article and your reaction digressed from the good relations between us, hurt you and this was not my intention...."

Lindenstrauss responded that he accepted the apology and considered the matter closed.
