Passover celebrates the exodus from Egypt which was followed by wandering in the desert before arriving in the Land of Israel. This week Israelis will be traveling to the desert once more but for music and hiking. The annual Ahava Dead Sea Festival is taking place March 27th through March 30th near the Dead Sea in the Negev region. Top name Israeli acts will play at the scenic Kibbutz Mitzpe Shalem. Artists will include Avraham Tal, Mosh Ben Ari, Metropolin, Yehudit Ravitz, Berry Sakharof, Balkan Beat Box, Yehuda Poliker and more. Attendees are encouraged to take advantage of the numerous hiking trails and nature reserves in the area as well.
