Famous American-Jewish performer Lipa Schmelzer will headline the Hevron Festival on Passover (Pesach). Every Passover and Sukkot the Hevron Jewish community organizes the festival which features popular entertainers and children's events. The Cave of Machpelach will be open to the public including areas usually reserved for Muslims only such as the hall of Isaac and Hall of Rebecca. The ancient cave is the Biblical burial site of the Jewish Patriarchs and Matriachs. The giant stone complex built on top the cave was built by King Herod the Great.
In addition to Lipa Schmeltzer, other musicians will include Mizrachi singer Haim Israel, Udi local Hevron area rocker Udi Davidi, Moshe Tessone, the Kinderlach children's choir directed by Yishai Lapidot, Ya Be Ye!, Ohad Mashiach, Benyamin Landau, Ruli Dickman, Nadav Gilad, and more.
The children's events will include a 'moon bounce', arts and crafts and more.
The event will take place Wednesday March 27th and Thursday March 28th beginning at approximately 1:00pm.
