President Shim'on Peres criticized Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Monday, for ousting Member of Knesset Reuven Rivlin (Likud) from the position of Knesset Speaker, according to a Tuesday-morning report by Ma'ariv/nrg.
During the ceremonial gathering before the swearing in of the government at the Knesset, Peres was heard telling Acting Speaker Binyamin Ben-Eliezer that Netanyahu should not have dismissed Rivlin, adding, "Ruby ran the Knesset in a stately and professional manner." He continued, "One doesn't do things like that. One should be careful of human dignity."
