The Jerusalem District Attorney's Office submitted an indictment with the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court, Thursday afternoon, against 21-year-old Avi Ben-Avraham of Jerusalem, charging him with deliberately damaging a vehicle and attempted assault, stemming from the stoning of a vehicle, Wednesday evening. According to the indictment, the defendant left Teddy Stadium with many others, before the end of Beitar Jerusalem's 3-0 loss to Maccabi Haifa in a State Cup game. Ben-Avraham was wearing a scarf with Beitar's colors. He identified the driver of one of the vehicles stopped outside the stadium as an Arab and allegedly threw a rock which hit the window of the back door of the vehicle. Other people whose identities are not known also threw rocks at the car.
Prosecutors submitted a request to release Ben-Avraham under restrictive conditions and issue a restraining order to keep him away from the stadium.
