It has just been cleared for publication that detectives from the central coast arrested five people on suspicion of setting fire to the car of Hadera Mayor Haim Avitan last month. 

The five suspects were involved in a series of cases involving arson to vehicles and storage centers belonging to the municipality. The police suspect the arson cases are a form of retaliation against the municipality and local police force. The suspects will be brought to a Haifa court on Wednesday for arraignment.
