Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange opened Tuesday-morning trading with modest gains. About a quarter of an hour into the session, the TA Composite Index stood at 1,105.83, up .38 percent, while the TA 100 rose .41 percent to 1,105.98, including a .37-percent advance to 1,241.53 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues.
Leading the gainers were most of the technology stocks, which stood at 324.07, up .87 percent, while the biomed index advanced .36 percent to 864.28. The insurance issues stood at 1,280.63, up half a percent as the financial institutions gained .34 percent to 1,128.95, including a .02-percent slip to 1,189.01 by the bank stocks. The real-estate index stood at 324.14, up .33 percent, while the oil and natural-gas issues edged up .03 percent to 1,151.01 and the communications stocks fell .39 percent to 503.56.
