Mubarak: Unite Around Morsi

Farid Ad-Deeb, the attorney for ousted Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak, said, Monday, that his client is sad and frustrated by the situation to which Egypt has deteriorated. Interviewed by Agence France  Presse, Ad-Deeb said, "He sees the violent demonstrations, the insecurity and chaos in the public system, and it angers him. Therefore he calls [on the people] to support those who were elected democratically by the people."

Ad-Deeb continued, "Mubarak has often expressed his opposition to violence and claims that demonstrators who attack security forces and symbols of the public and government are criminals, but goes to great lengths to emphasize that all citizens deserve the right to self-expression, freedom of speech and the right to protest non-violently."
