Labor Chairwoman Shelly Yachimovich said on Saturday that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu would have preferred Labor in the government over Yesh Atid and the Jewish Home, but that Netanyahu was not "open to changing his policy in such a manner that could fit the Labor party," she said.
"it is no secret that Netanyahu preferred Lapid and Bennett to be left out of the government, and to instead form a coalition with us and the haredim. However, we are not a sectorial party, willing to debase ourselves for a few crumbs," Yachimovich added.
