Dayan: Dutch 'Settlement' Labelling will Help Sales

Former chairman Danny Dayan of the Yesha Council of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria (Shomron) said, Friday, that a move by Holland's Economy and Trade Ministry to recommend special labelling for products from beyond the 1949 ceasefire line won't work against Israel's presence in those areas. Writing on his Facebook page, Dayan said, "The Dutch government will even be surprised to find that sales of the products to be designated as 'made in the settlements' - will actually grow."

The Foreign Ministry said that if the the Europeans claim that the labelling is intended to inform consumers that items are coming from a disputed area,  "they should be consistent and so label any product from a disputed area in Europe and the world."
