Holyland Prosecutors to Ask for Extension

Tel Aviv District prosecutors will ask the Tel Aviv District Court, Monday, for an extension in the Holyland corruption case to allow them to bring additional witnesses. The prosecutors had anticipated that two more months were needed for the testimony and cross examination of state witness Shin Dalet, who passed away last week.

The case involves the approval of the Holyland real-estate development in Jerusalem, which was approved after it appeared headed for rejection. Among more than a dozen defendents are former prime minister Ehud Olmert and fellow former mayor Uri Lupoliansky.
