The Coordination and Implementation Committee of the Histadrut Labor Federation declared a dispute with the Premiere League (Ligat Ha'al) in basketball, Thursday. The declaration cited the refusal of the league and its 12 teams to negotiate and sign a new agreement on the number of Israeli players on the court and a ceiling on the number of foreign players for the next season.
Also cited was management's refusal to negotiate economic demands of the employees, which include a minimum wage, payment for a full pension from the start of one's employment and in-service training as part of the collective bargaining agreement.
