Radical Left Approves No Draft of Haredim

The radical left wing, who would rather the IDF be smaller and more professional, believe the state necessity of draft for everyone is only for the purpose of continuing the "occupation" of Judea and Samaria with an oversized army. Consequently, they approve of hareidi-religious Jews who do not serve in the Israel Defense Forces, providing fewer "occupation" soldiers.

Some political analysts believe Chairman Naftali Bennett of Habayit Hayehudi (Jewish Home-New National Religious Party) should find common ground with the Hareidim on draft issues, to prevent a possible political bond with the radical left.
