Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz toured Judea and Samaria on Wednesday following the escalation of riots in recent days. Gantz visited Betunia checkpoint and other main areas where the riots occurred and reviewed the deployment of forces and the official commons in regards to opening fire. 

The army continues to prepare for the possibility of the spread and escalation  of the riots.
