MK Danny Danon (Likud) asked Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Monday evening that he work to prevent the closure of the eastern entrance to the city of Ariel.
“I received calls from many concerned citizens on the issue. This is a major and central transit point in Judea and Samaria, through which thousands of people enter every day. Closing the gate will hurt the quality of life of the residents of Judea and Samaria, Ariel University students and of visitors. I will not let something like this happen,” Danon wrote.
“I urge you to take responsibility and solve the problem. Closing the gate will bring about increased traffic through the Tapuach junction, a route which in these days of escalation is vulnerable,” added Danon.
