Tzipi Livni participated in a conference in Jerusalem on Tuesday and spoke about the renewed focus on negotiations with the Palestinian Authority that US President Barack Obama's March trip to Israel will spark.
"I expect that a new dialogue will be opened with the U.S., in the State of Israel and of course with the Palestinians. We have not yet exhausted all the possible options to promote two states for two people and there are always excuses as to why the timing is not right for the opening of negotiations," Livni said.
"After four years, most Israelis do not believe that we can achieve peace. I think the Israelis and our children deserve the option to achieve peace and soon," she added.
