Jerusalem police are on high alert Tuesday evening following intelligence reports of a possible terror threat. Police officers were deployed throughout the city to patrol the area and inspect vehicles while police aircraft searched the area from above. Paramedics and hospital staff were also told to be prepared in case of an event which would cause an influx of injured people. 

According to police, the alert is focused on East Jerusalem. The police have not yet disclosed what sort of intelligence information led to the high alert.
