Neighbors on Israel's Northern Front Increase Alert

The armies of Syria, Lebanon and Jordan have joined Lebanon's Hizbullah terrorists in increasing their preparedness, following air strikes on a biological and chemical weapons facility near Damascus and on a Lebanon-bound weapons convoy, according to a Thursday-morning report by the Lebanese newspaper Ad-Diyar. The newspaper says the Syrian army 's alert was raised in the Golan Heights, where its units were told to divide into smaller units "as Hizbullah has done in southern Lebanon." Syrian and Hizbullah units were deployed on the southern Lebanese hilltops in the Kafr Shuba and Shaba'a Farms, known as Har Dov in Hebrew.

The Lebanese army raised its stage of alert, as did Jordanian troops stationed along the River Jordan,
