Comatose Sharon Shows Significant Brain Activity

Tests run on former prime minister Ariel Sharon last Thursday at Ben Gurion University's Soroka Hospital indicated response to pictures of his family, the voice of one of his sons and tactile stimulation, according to a statement, released Sunday, by the university, Agence France Presse reported. The school's neuroscientists, an expert from Soroka Professor Martin Monti from the University of California, Los Angeles ran two hours of pioneering tests on the 84-year-old Sharon, who has been in a coma since 2006.
