By a vote of two-to-one, a panel of Supreme Court judges decided to take three years off the sentence handed down by a district court to a Gaza Arab for digging a smuggling tunnel between Gaza and Egypt and smuggling weapons through it.

As a result of the ruling on his appeal, the convicted smuggler will serve 11 years in prison.
