Dozens of hareidi-religious Jews will be inducted to national civilian service on Sunday, in what is being viewed as the first such induction since the Supreme Court invalidated the Tal Law that used to regulate national military service for the community. An estimated 1,300 will be inducted into police civilian service by next August or the enactment of legislation to replace the Tal Law.
