J'm Finance C'tee Rejects Holy Sepulchre Debt Financing

The finance committee of the Jerusalem municipality rejected, Sunday evening, an agreement with the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, under which the city would pay part of the church's debt to the Gichon water company, which supplies the capital. The utility has threatened to cut the water supply to the facility because of the nine-million-shekel debt, which the church has refused to pay for more than eight years.
