Cornerstone Laid for Twice Destroyed Jewish Town


Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin, attended Wednesday a cornerstone laying ceremony for a new Neve Dekalim, learning institution, now to be located near Ashdod. Neve Dekalim was originally established in the Sinai region. The residents were forced out by the Israeli government in 1981. The community was reestablished in Gush Katif in the Gaza district in 1983. The residents were forced out by the Israeli government in 2005. "I want to believe that there won't be another deportation," Rivlin stated.
