Shekel, US Dollar, Yen Up; Euro, Pound Down

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .201 percent, Friday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar remained at NIS 3.747, while the Euro declined .433 percent to 4.9486 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.0892, down .141 percent, while 100 Japanese yen rose .108 percent to 4.4583 shekels. The Australian dollar was fixed at 3.913 shekels, down .458 percent, while its Canadian counterpart declined .137 percent to NIS 3.7835. The South African Rand was set at NIS .4385, down .364 percent.
