The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange finished the trading week, Thursday, with modest losses in mixed trading. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,072.28, down .31 percent, while the same percentage decrease meant a posting of 1,076.81 for the TA 100, including a .46-percent decline for the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues. The 50 stocks outside the TA 100 slipped .03 percent to 432.41.
The insurance index led the leaders, climbing 1.94 percent to 1,222.79, as the financial institutions finished the day at 1,102.33, up 1.04 percent, including a .56-percent advance to 1,185.21 by the banking stocks. The oil and natural-gas stocks closed at 1.186.48, up .88 percent, followed by the Ma'ala organization's list of socially-responsible companies, which rose .44 percent to 892.57, and the real-estate index, which finished the day at 307.18, up .42 percent. The biomed issues edged up .13 percent to 813.49, while the rest of the technology stocks closed at 336.50, down .76 percent.
