The Family Lobby, also known as the Familism organization or the Familists, will hold their third annual conference in Tel Aviv on Friday. The guest speaker will be Moshe Feiglin, head of the Manhigut Yehudit faction of the Likud party.
To be discussed is the Schnitt Commission report, which has advocated revoking the Tender Years Clause, which automatically awards custody of children under six-years-old to the mother in cases of divorce.
Also discussed will be the results of the upcoming Knesset elections and how they will affect the state of child custody laws, false accusation laws, child support payments, alimony, divorce settlements and other issues.
According to their website, the Family Lobby "is an Israeli lobby group dedicated to rejuvenating the Israeli family unit." They seeks the repeal of the Single Parent Families Act a reform of what they term "automatically financial incentives" . Past guest speakers have come from a variety of different political parties.
The conference will be held Friday morning at 10:0am on December 21st at the Beit Tami Community Center in the Shenkin Garden in Tel Aviv.
