Agreement Between Nurses and Treasury Falls Apart

After Monday night's report on the progress of negotiations between the the Finance Ministry and the nurses, the Federation of Nurses announced Tuesday that negotiations with the treasury broke down, with the nurses' strike now having entered it's 16th day.

According to the organization's chairman Ilana Cohen, "The treasury continues to treat nurses as slaves and not workers who hold the daily responsibility for human life. The severe shortage of nurses requires an agreement that will provide an immediate solution to the crisis. As long as the treasury does not change its approach, the strike will continue."
