An organization for people with disabilities is suing the Dan bus company for discrimination. According to the prosecution, Dan bus drivers gave a woman a hard time getting on the bus in her wheelchair on several occasions, even to the point of denying her access. They claim the woman fell out of her wheelchair on at least one occasion. The majority of intercity buses in Israel are equipped with wheelchair ramps. It is common to see fellow passengers opening the ramp for strangers in need.
