Illegals Won't Be Deported on Christmas or New Years

They may have snuck into the country illegally, but the government won't ruin the holiday spirit, regardless of the holiday.

The head of Israel's Population and Immigration Authority Amnon Ben Ami announced that on Christmas and New Years there will be no arrests, detainment or repatriation of illegal immigrants or infiltrators.

Enforcement will cease at 3:00 PM Christmas eve and will not be enforced on Christmas day respectively so with New Year's Eve and New Years Day.

Illegal infiltration has dropped dramatically in recent months due to more restrictions. Statistics show that most are migrant workers. Care is taken to ensure no refugees are repatriated back into conflict zones.
