Northern Jerusalem Terror Cell Uncovered

It was disclosed, Monday, that the Shabak Israel Security Agency, Jerusalem police and Border Guards combined to uncover a grass-roots terror cell affiliated with Hamas, which operated in the Shu'afat refugee camp and the Ras Hamis neighborhood of northern Jerusalem. Initial interrogation of suspects indicates the cell carried out a long list of firebomb and rock attacks against police. A September 14th attack on a Border Guard position with rocks, firebombs and firecrackers took place when the position was staffed by a lone officer.

The suspects face charges of weapons production, aggravated assault, arson, aggravated attempted assault on a police officer and disorderly conduct, among others.
