IDF: 2 Wounded, 1 Arrested in Riot at Yitzhar

A source in the Israel Defense Forces said, Monday afternoon, that a shepherd from the Samarian (Shomron) Arab village of Madama came to the nearby Jewish community of Yitzhar and clashed with soldiers who came to distance him, at which point they arrested him. The source said that immediately thereafter a number of Arabs gathered and started throwing rocks at the troops, wounding one of Yitzhar's security guards. The soldiers responded with riot-control measures and with procedures for arresting suspects. As a result, one of the Arabs was wounded in the foot and taken to Shechem by a Red Crescent ambulance.
