Prosecution Seeks Heavier Sentence for Violent Officer

The State Prosecution has appealed the sentence given to a violence police officer, and is asking the District Court to give a harsher penalty. The officer, who served in the Ayalon area, was convicted of violence against four handcuffed minors on two separate occasions within a period of just seven days.

He was given three years’ probation, with a five-month jail sentence in case of violation. In addition, he faces a 2,000 shekel fine if he commits a violent crime within the next three years.
