Cultural Center to Double as Nuclear Bomb Shelter

The Habima cultural center in Tel Aviv will double as a bomb shelter capable of providing protection from nuclear weapons under a program approved by regional officials Wednesday, Channel 10 reports. The center is currently capable of doubling as a shelter from biological and chemical weapons. It can contain up to 5,000 people.

The city of Tel Aviv will invest two million shekels in turning select shelters in the city into shelters from chemical weapons.
