Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met with representatives of the foreign media in Israel and spoke about the most recent calls by Hamas to destroy Israel and the lack of reaction to these outlandish statements by the international world.
"This weekend Hamas leaders openly called for Israel's destruction. Where was the outrage? Where was the UN? Where was Abu - Mazen? Why were Palestinian diplomats not summoned to European capitals to be asked why the Palestinian Authority Chairman not only defended (the statements), but also why his men spoke openly of their intention to unite with Hamas? There was only deafening silence and we can not accept this."
He added, "We can not accept that when Israel is building houses in our historical capital the international community has no problem making a sound, but when the leaders of the Palestinians call openly for Israel's destruction - the world is silent. But Israel will not be quiet. We will tell the truth and defend our rights against those who want to deny our past and erase our future. Israel will continue to tell the truth about our rights in this country, and will protect our nation against enemies who want to destroy us."
