IDF Radio to Broadcast Political Ads for the First Time

Chairman Elyakim Rubinstein of the Central Elections Committee ruled, Thursday, that Israel Defense Forces Radio will be allowed to broadcast political advertisements during the campaign leading up to the Knesset elections, scheduled for January 22nd.

The Supreme Court justice wrote, among other things,  "In light of this decision's innovation and the short timetable before us, I have found that the campaign ads on IDF Radio for the 19th Knesset elections will be reduced, relative to ads on other radio stations. Therefore, any list of candidates can use IDF Radio to broadcast 25% of the time limit for election propaganda radio broadcasts in Hebrew.
