Samaria Residents Ask Help for Hizme Road Before Vote

The Samaria (Shomron) Residents' Council wrote to Transportation and Road Safety Minister Yisrael Katz, Friday, asking him to alleviate congestion on Highway 60, between the Binyamin-region Jewish community of Adam and the Arab village of Hizme, at the entrance to northern Jerusalem, before January's scheduled Knesset elections. The residents said that not only do backups at the Hizme Crossing into the capital pose an inconvenience, they are also a security risk, as cars with no place to move are easy targets for Arab rock throwers.

The residents said their letter is only the start of the struggle.
