US Military to Build Underground Facility for Israel

The United States Army Corps of Engineers has published a contract bid to build a five-story underground facility for the Israel Defense Forces at an Air Force base near Tel Aviv, according to a report in Thursday's Washington Post. "Site 911" is expected to withstand a nuclear attack. It would feature a laboratory, shock-resistant doors, protection against non-iodizing radiation and very tight security.
