The official value of the shekel declined an average of .198 percent, Friday, against most of the other featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.874, up .181 percent, while the Euro rose .221 percent to 4.9943 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.1791, up .144 percent, while 100 Japanese yen rose .668 percent to 4.7144 shekels. The Australian dollar was fixed at 4.0324 shekels, up .481 percent, while its Canadian counterpart edged up .08 percent to 3.8851.
