Minister Katz: The Shomron is the Safest Place

The Shomron (Samaria) is the safest place in Israel these days, Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz said on Tuesday.

Speaking at a dedication ceremony of a new square at the entrance of the Shomron community of Shaarei Tikva and a park and ride terminal at the Shaar Hashomron interchange, Katz said, “In an age where missiles are being fired at Israeli cities, Samaria is the safest place. Those who are talking about establishing entities of one form or another should remember that. If the communities in Samaria didn’t exist, missiles would be fired from here towards Tel Aviv and other cities right now.”
