Legal-Assistance Hotline for Southern Residents

Starting Monday, the legal-assistance department of the Justice Ministry is scheduled to operate telephone centers to help residents of the south deal with issues resulting from the Pillar of Defense counter-terror operation. The centers, operating out of the department's Be'er Sheva' (08) 640-4536 and Jerusalem (02) 621-1386 offices, will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday. This is in addition to the department's regular Jerusalem number: (02) 621-1333.

The department's attorneys will give preliminary assistance regarding injuries, property damage and the rights of workers who cannot go to work, as well as requests to delay hearings or other court-related business in the region.
