Education Minister Gidon Saar said Sunday that the government remains committed to the goal it set for itself at the beginning of Operation Pillar of Defense: restoring quiet to southern Israel.
“We will not compromise on this goal,” he told Voice of Israel radio (Kol Yisrael). “We have yet to reach the point that would necessitate a ground operation, but if we need to do that to reach the goal, there will be a ground operation,” he added.
