The economist Shlomo Maoz, who recently announced he would be running with Likud, is now considering quitting. Maoz moved to the regional list after realizing he had no chance on the national list.
According to Channel 10, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu who is very interested in having Maoz as part of Likud, spoke today with Uri Faraj, a Likud activist who is running in the Dan region around Tel Aviv. Netanyahu tried to persuade Faraj to quit the race, but he refused. Maoz is now considering his options.
