Police have arrested a young man from the town of Kfar Shibli on suspicion of running down a pedestrian in the nearby town of Devoria and abandoning the scene. The victim of the accident has been taken to hospital in serious condition.
The suspect was found hiding in a closet in his home. He will be taken to the Nazareth Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday for a hearing on the extension of his remand.
