MK Shama-Hacohen: Kahlon Offered Treasury Portfolio

Deputy Knesset Speaker Carmel Shama-Hacohen said, Friday, that Communications and Welfare Minister Moshe Kahlon has been offered the top spot at the Finance Ministry as an incentive to stay in the Likud party. Interviewed by Israel Defense Forces Radio, Shama-Hacohen said the offer was on the table.

Following an announcement that he was taking time out from politics, Kahlon has been rumored to be forming a new social-activist party. A poll published in Yediot Acharonot on Friday said such a party would take five seats away from the Likud faction.
