The combination of electric guitars and complex chord progression continues to attracts fans and musicians alike in the Jewish State. Israel is a country where musicians are prevalent and it is common to see someone walking down the street or sitting on the bus with a musical instrument. Progressive rock, with its introspective feel seems particularly suited for the country.
Two up-and-coming Israeli acts Sumo Elevator and Distorted Harmony will play Oct 30th at the Barby in Tel Aviv. Sumo Elevator is known for their instrumental mixture of progressive rock, metal, electronic jazz and break-beat. Distorted Harmony has been labeled a progressive metal band with modern jazz and classical music influences. Both bands also performed at the ProgStage 2012 festival at the Sea of Galilee.
